Individual therapy services are one-on-one 50-55 min sessions with a client. Together we will explore all areas of life and develop a map of their history, underlying issues, triggers, and motivators. Together I work with the client in exploring expectations and purposes of coming to treatment in order to develop a treatment goal. In session I focus on meeting you where you are at and going at your pace.
Couples therapy consists of a couple and myself in a 50-90 min session. Together we explore current stressors in the relationship and any underlying issues each partner may bring into the relationship. The goal and purpose of this style of therapy is to allow the couple to come to a mutual goal and satisfaction in their relationsip.
EMDR stands for Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing. This psychotherapy method focus on the brains natural healing proess. Many times when a trauma has occurred it can get stuck or "frozen in time" thus not allowing the brain to do it's natural healing process. Traumas that are stuck can create dysfunction in our every day life. EMDR helps in processing these traumatic memories rather than focusing on the thoughts, feelings, and actions that arise after the event.
EMDR therapy sessions are 90 minute appointments.
